Role OverviewThe Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the buildings and equipment at Richmond Baking, ensuring proper working order and adherence to safety and quality standards. The role involves working with the plant sanitation supervisor to install new equipment and maintaining electrical fixtures within OSHA requirements. The technician must be able to read electrical drawings and blueprints, have knowledge of electricity, and be capable of wire up and repair of control panels, starters, disconnects, meters, and switches.
What You Will Do
The Maintenance Technician will perform a variety of tasks, including maintaining equipment, keeping work areas clear and clean, providing break or reliefs to machine set up persons, and climbing ladders to work on equipment. The technician may be required to do carpenter work, plumbing, and electrical work, as well as painting and lubricating machinery. They must also comply with Driver Safety Policy and follow all GMPs and HACCP procedures.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalency, two to six years of related experience, and a background in manufacturing or distribution companies. The technician must be able to lift 50 lb frequently and have attention to detail. They should be able to work independently and as part of a team, and be available to come in during emergency break downs or work more than one shift.
