Role OverviewPerforms a variety of tasks to maintain and repair Navy Exchange and Navy Lodge facilities, including carpentry, painting, electrical, and plumbing work. Works under the general supervision of a designated supervisor and uses own judgment and skills to perform assignments.
What You Will Do
Performs preventive maintenance work on equipment, repairs doors, windows, and furniture, paints interior and exterior of buildings, makes electrical repairs, and performs plumbing repairs. May operate a motor vehicle and use heavy equipment.
Why It Might Be a Fit
Must possess a valid state driver's license or a valid commercial driver's license (CDL) and meet Department of Transportation physical and medical requirements. Must also pass a pre-employment drug screening.
Requirements
- Valid state driver's license or CDL
- One year of experience in general maintenance practices
- Three years of maintenance work experience involving painting, plumbing, carpentry, and electrical repairs
- Possession of a CDL with a class B endorsement if operating a vehicle with a gross weight of at least 26,000 lbs.
