Job Description
Regularly performs the full range and scope of maintenance and housekeeping services, including upkeep of buildings, grounds, fixtures, equipment, guest rooms, public spaces, etc. Assignments include simple painting, plumbing, carpentry, electrical repairs, and maintenance using various equipment. Takes initiative to ensure all aspects of the facility are working correctly.

Requirements

  • Performs work in at least two of the following trades in the maintenance and repair of buildings and related fixtures
  • Maintains work order log and follows up as required
  • Reports status to supervisor
  • Recognizes and reports electrical problems making repairs as appropriate
  • Replaces fluorescent and incandescent ballasts, bulbs, and tubes
  • Measures, cuts, and constructs or repairs wood or wood substitute items
  • Conducts basic carpentry repairs, such as repairing or replacing screens, window and door frames, molding, and trim
  • Responsible for a variety of semi-skilled and unskilled tasks involving standard methods related to the operation and maintenance of facilities
