Role Overview

As a Maintenance Worker, you'll play an important role in creating a safe, comfortable, and well-maintained environment for our residents, staff, and visitors. This is a hands-on position with variety every day, from maintaining buildings and equipment to caring for the grounds and responding to urgent maintenance needs.

What You Will Do

Perform routine maintenance and repairs throughout the facility and grounds. Complete basic carpentry, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, masonry, painting, and other general maintenance work. Maintain lawns, sidewalks, parking areas, driveways, and other outdoor spaces through mowing, trimming, raking, shoveling, plowing, and related work.

We're looking for a skilled, dependable maintenance professional who takes pride in solving problems and keeping things running smoothly. Experience working in a healthcare or nursing home environment is helpful but not required.

Requirements

  • At least three years of experience, education, and/or training in general maintenance and repair work.
  • Working knowledge of several general maintenance areas, such as carpentry, plumbing, basic electrical work, painting, masonry, groundskeeping, and custodial functions.
  • Current and valid Maine driver's license.
