Role OverviewAssist in routine maintenance, operation, and repair of public buildings and structures, and the equipment they contain. Conduct visual inspections of building equipment and conditions.
What You Will Do
Maintain, adjust, and make minor repairs of building hardware, furniture, shelving, and equipment. Perform related work, such as driving to and from work sites.
Why It Might Be a Fit
Selected candidates will be required to float throughout the Borough of the Bronx. The position is open to qualified persons with a disability who are eligible for the 55-a Program.
Requirements
- Three years of full-time satisfactory experience as a mechanic, journeyperson or helper in the electrical trades, the mechanical trades, or the construction or maintenance of buildings
- At least two years of full-time satisfactory experience as described above plus sufficient full-time training or education in the electrical, mechanical or construction trades
