Role Overview

The Maintenance Workleader I will manage and direct all activities and processes related to the daily management of predictive, preventive, and proactive maintenance programs to improve process reliability while reducing maintenance costs. This position will also support the core reliability processes and lead daily cross-shift communications of relevant shift activities.

What You Will Do

Responsibilities include leading and developing direct reports, meeting or exceeding established goals, loss reduction, reliability improvement, and other performance standards related to process and packaging systems. The Workleader will also ensure all safety incident reporting follows proper protocols and complete required training for direct reports.

Requirements

  • Acceptable attendance required
  • Meets standards in overall performance rating in most recent performance review
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Five years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Demonstrated ability to investigate and solve problems
  • Ability to diagnose mechanical problems and resolve minor mechanical and processing problems
  • Good PLC skills and electronics
  • Knowledge of CMMS, MS Office, and SAP or other ERP tools
  • Demonstrated ability to perform changeovers and preventative maintenance on all production equipment
  • Demonstrated practice of leadership principles required and formal leadership training
  • Demonstrated ability to pro-actively encourage continuous improvement and daily problem-solving initiatives
  • Proven ability to coach, train, and influence while demonstrating a deep respect for the capabilities of all people
  • Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated analytical, critical thinking skills to determine risk assessment
  • Experience effectively leading and facilitating team and cross-functional meeting
  • Ability to work overtime/weekends required
