Job Description
The Major Gifts Manager (MGM) works in coordination with the global and regional HDC teams to ensure alignment with objectives and principles. The MGM supports the planning and implementation of the Resource Development Department strategies at Habitat for Humanity Honduras. This role involves cultivating relationships with members of Habitat Honduras’ HDC; making solicitations, negotiating, closing, managing, and renewing donations from HDC members and their circle of friends. This is a public-facing fundraising position with a high revenue goal.

RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES
  • Develop and implement fundraising strategies for local high-level prospects/donors, including members of the Honduras HDC.
  • Assist members of the Honduras HDC and the National Organization (NO) in identifying, discovering, and cultivating high-net-worth local individual donors.
  • Solicit, negotiate, close, manage, and renew donations from high-level individual donors.
  • Support the NO in planning and implementing fundraising strategies for local individual high-level prospects/donors (those with the capacity to donate over US$50,000).

REQUIREMENTS
  • University degree
  • 5–10 years of experience in major gift roles, securing funding from high-net-worth individuals in Honduras
  • Preferably with a Master’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, International Relations, Fundraising, or a related field
  • Proven track record securing philanthropic donations in the 4- and 5-figure range
  • 100% fluency in English is essential
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools
  • Strong identification with social causes and Christian principles
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to drive manual vehicles
  • Schedule flexibility
  • Must reside in San Pedro Sula
