Job Description
Join our American Airlines family as a Manager, Aircraft Base Maintenance, and lead a team of supervisors, crew chiefs, and maintenance technicians. As a key member of the dynamic and fast-paced American Airlines Maintenance organization, you'll ensure safety, quality, production, and budgetary commitments are met. You'll provide strategic direction, lead staff to utilize skills to the highest degree, and ensure effective communication between teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Aeronautics or related field or equivalent experience/training
  • 4 years experience leading other supervisory management personnel
  • Experience in positions requiring budget understanding, resource forecasting and management and workload planning in maintenance environments
  • 3 years Aircraft Maintenance Operations or compliance equivalent experience
  • A&P License
  • Knowledge of audit requirements
  • Knowledge of labor reporting and crew utilization
  • Strong interpersonal and PC skills
  • Knowledge of the GPM and SPPM
  • Ability to concurrently manage multiple areas of responsibility
  • Excellent analytical, organization and planning skills
