Role OverviewThe Manager, Laboratory will oversee general laboratory operations, including in-patient phlebotomy, processing, core laboratory technical operations, financial and billing aspects of the core lab, special report generation and analysis. The position will serve as a resource for Technical Coordinators and other leaders in all aspects of core laboratory operational matters.

The Manager, Laboratory will perform other duties as assigned, comply with all policies and standards, and ensure compliance with all applicable accreditation, local, state & federal regulations.

Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in a biological or chemical science (Required) or an Associates Degree in a laboratory science or medical laboratory technology with 8+ years of related experience including previous supervisory experience (Required)
- 5+ years of progressive management experience in laboratory medicine (Required)
- Medical Technologist (MT-ASCP) or equivalent certification (Required Upon Hire) or Medical Lab Technician (MLT-ASCP) or equivalent certification (Required Upon Hire) or equivalent certification (Required)
- Thorough knowledge in all areas of laboratory operations including quality control, safety and compliance regulations, regulatory and accreditation standards, process improvement, and billing practices (Required proficiency)
- Basic knowledge in areas of contracting and financial management, including contract negotiation and budget development (Required proficiency)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Required proficiency)
- Exceptional oral, written & interpersonal communication skills (Required proficiency)
