Job Description
Role Overview

The Manager, Learning Programs provides daily management and ongoing development of professional development programming within ADEA’s Office of Learning (OL), including coordinating virtual and in-person learning experiences, and managing eLearn programming. The incumbent will collaborate with the VP, eLearn, and other Office of Learning team members to design and implement professional development programs for ADEA’s members.

What You Will Do

Manage the development and day-to-day maintenance of the ADEA Micro-credential Program, oversee ADEA’s eLearn digital badging system, manage all technical and logistical aspects of live and on-demand ADEA eLearn webinars, and oversee the daily operation and management of ADEA’s LMS.

The ideal candidate will have expertise with Microsoft Office, PDF, Qualtrics, and webinar/meeting software, strong knowledge of Learning Management Systems (LMS) and LMS website management, and the ability to apply learning theory to the development of learning programs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional education and experience required
  • Minimum of five years of relevant experience, including project and learning programs management
  • Prior experience working in an academic, association or a non-profit environment is strongly preferred
  • Expertise with Microsoft Office (including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), PDF, Qualtrics, and webinar/meeting software such as Zoom/Teams
  • Strong knowledge of Learning Management Systems (LMS) and LMS website management
  • Understanding of learning theory and ability to apply it to the development of learning programs
  • Must possess excellent judgment, exceptional organizational skills, and professional discretion with information
  • Attention to detail, deadline orientation and flexibility required
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate and build rapport with diverse speakers and audiences in a virtual environment
  • Must be self-motivated, confident, proactive and comfortable working independently
  • Poise, tact, and diplomacy, with strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work successfully in a diverse team environment and collaborate effectively with others
  • The capacity to handle multiple tasks and the ability to remain positive and productive in demanding situations
