Manager of Data Engineering

As Manager of Data Engineering, you will lead a team of data engineers in designing, implementing, and optimizing our data warehouse to support business intelligence, analytics, data science, and data-driven decision-making processes.

Lead and manage the data engineering team, design and implement effective data solutions, develop and maintain scalable data architecture, conduct database administration, and ensure data integrity and security.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a Related Field
• Two (2) years Supervisory experience
• Four (4) years’ experience in a Management position
• Three (3) years’ experience in a Supervisory position with Wind Creek Hospitality
• Five (5) years of hands-on experience in managing and leading data warehousing projects and data engineering teams
• Master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Proven hands-on experience in Snowflake, DBT, SQL, Data Warehousing, ETL/ELT, and Kimball-style dimensional modeling
• Strong experience in Azure Cloud Platform
• Strong experience database modeling, data architecture and design, performance tuning, and troubleshooting
• Solid background in scripting and software development
• Demonstrated experience in agile software development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.), project management, ITIL concepts, service desk management and incident and request management
• Excellent leadership and team management skills
• Experience in Redshift, SQL Server, Oracle, and other data warehouse platforms
• Experience in real-time stream processing and data ingestion
• Result-oriented with exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Willing to work odd and irregular hours
• Willing to travel and participate in training
• Valid and current State Driver’s License
• Tribal Gaming License
