Role OverviewThis individual is a leader with demonstrated experience in project development with commercial acumen and a strong advocate for the partnering process with key stakeholders. The Manager, Power Development is responsible for leading a project development team that supports the origination and project development of large power plant projects or programs of projects. The team is responsible for managing the expansion of the development pipeline through greenfield or brownfield project development activities; procurement of Owner’s Engineer and other project support services; negotiation of Engineering, Procurement, and Construction contracts; and providing oversight of all front-end loading stages for combined cycle or simple cycle gas turbine projects.
What You Will Do
Organize and lead an effective project development team, understand the requirements and contributions of critical team positions and key stakeholders, manage the development of the project vision and execution philosophy, and negotiate commercial agreements and deliver successfully negotiated contracts with key stakeholders.

Requirements
- Bachelor degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or related field
- 10 years of experience in Project Management, Construction Management, Electric Utility Industry, or related field
- Subject Matter Expert in project and construction management fundamentals and complicated project problem solutions
- History of safe performance, active safety involvement and participation
- Supervisory experience with direct reports or in a matrix organization
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and project management applications, processes, software and equipment
- Understanding of Industry Best Practices
- Demonstrated cross-functional project leadership experience, team performance skills, service mindset approach, and the ability to act as a trusted advisor
