The Manager of Nursing Professional Practice provides enterprise level leadership to advance nursing excellence and professional practice consistency across the organization.

Requirements

  • Strategic leadership and vision for nursing professional practice
  • Development and implementation of a Professional Practice Model
  • Alignment of nursing practice with organizational strategic goals and regulatory requirements
  • Promotion of a culture of shared governance and continuous improvement
  • Facilitation of the Nursing Research Council
  • Leadership of Magnet Nursing Excellence standards and preparation for designation
  • Oversight of the ANCC-accredited Practice Transition Accreditation Program (PTAP)
  • Management of the Nurse Resource Pool
  • Development of student nurse sponsorship programs and patient care services internships
  • Promotion of nursing professional development, certification, and career advancement
