Manager, Software Engineering - Advanced Products and Solutions

Are you a passionate, motivated Software Developer or Manager interested in a rewarding career in the Defense Industry? We are looking for a Software Manager with defense experience to join our Advanced Products and Solutions (APS) team at Raytheon in Fort Wayne, IN. This position is responsible for managing the engineering development of software solutions for the APS area.

Lead, organize, and develop a team of software engineers in the Advanced Product and Solutions group. Conduct performance reviews, salary planning, and overall personnel development to ensure team growth and alignment with organizational goals. Drive the development of innovative software solutions, leveraging emerging technologies to meet mission-critical needs.

Requirements

• Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or STEM and a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, OR an Advanced Degree and 5 years of relevant experience.
• Previous experience managing multiple software programs and/or development tasks while meeting cost and schedule objectives.
• Demonstrated experience across all phases of software product development including high-level understanding of software systems, architectures, and development.
• The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
