Role OverviewDirects and coordinates all aspects of Blood Transfusion Services, Donor collection programs throughout Cape Cod Hospital Laboratory and Cape Cod Healthcare facilities. Oversees blood bank operations, donor center operations, and ensures services meet patient needs in accordance with accepted standards and practices.
What You Will Do
Supervises procedures to obtain and provide data and blood products for use in patient diagnosis and treatment. Oversees blood typing, antibody screening, crossmatching, preparation and dispensing of blood products, serologic testing, and instrument calibration. Maintains employee scheduling, orders supplies, and monitors quality control activities.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in clinical laboratory sciences area or any related field
- ASCP, NCA or equivalent certification
- 5 years of related experience, preferably in a blood center
- Knowledge of Regulatory and accreditation requirements
- Prior supervisory experience (preferred)
- SBB certification (preferred)
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to work independently while developing functioning teams
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
