Manager, Weather Response Shelter

The Manager, Weather Response Shelter will implement the day-to-day management and oversight of shelter operations. The shelters are based on weather events, such as extreme cold temperatures or Winter Contingency, so operation will be spontaneous and temporary. This position provides leadership, direction and administrative oversight in advancing and supporting Aspire's mission, vision, values, and strategic priorities.

The Manager will be responsible for leading a team, handling confidential information, and responding effectively in crisis situations. They will also work independently and collaboratively within a team setting, and possess knowledge of and ability to relate to community resources.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from a college/university accredited by the U.S. Department of Education with two (2) years of related experience
• One (1) year of experience leading a team required
• Healthcare and/or non-profit experience and a solid understanding of the behavioral health field highly preferred
• Must be willing to work hours outside the normal 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, 40 hours work week
• Must be able to respond appropriately and effectively in crisis situations by using good judgment and following Aspire protocols
• Must be able to work well under pressure in a fast-paced, time sensitive environment with shifting priorities and multiple deadlines
• Must possess/maintain a valid driver's license, current automobile insurance and a driving record that meets the guidelines and requirements of the organization
• Must have reliable transportation to transport self/others and to attend trainings and/or meetings
