Job Description
The YMCA of Downtown Manchester is hiring Summer Camp Counselors for a unique travel-based day camp serving youth ages 12–16. Counselors will accompany and lead teens on daily excursions across New England, help facilitate outdoor recreation and team-building activities, and serve as positive role models.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 19 years old by the start of camp season.
  • Must hold, or be willing to obtain, CPR and First Aid certification prior to start date.
  • Experience working or volunteering with youth in a camp, school, or recreational setting preferred.
  • Previous experience as a camp counselor (minimum 2 seasons) strongly preferred.
  • Lifeguard certification is a plus; training may be provided for strong candidates.
  • Must be available to attend pre-camp staff training and be present for the majority of camp weeks.
