Job Description
Gleason Corporation is seeking a Manufacturing Assistant to help keep the department running efficiently. The role involves staging work for machines, caring for machine fluids, and maintaining cleanliness of the wash area. The successful candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent and good communication skills.

Requirements

  • Maintain cleanliness of wash area (i.e. mop floors, change solvents in tanks) and ensure all wash materials used have been replenished at the end of each shift.
  • Maintain machine fluid inventories (lubricants and coolant)
  • Fill machines with oil
  • Fill coolant wagons
  • Perform machine coolant changes
  • Material handling responsibilities.
  • Receive raw material
  • Store raw material and control inventory
  • Move and stage raw material to machining centers
  • Retrieve gages from and return gages to Gage Control / Calibration
  • Move WIP material
  • Painting and floor cleaning as necessary
  • Complete 5S action items as assigned.
