Role Overview

Carestream is seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented Manufacturing Engineer to join our team in supporting and optimizing the production of cutting-edge X-ray equipment. This role is pivotal in troubleshooting and resolving production issues to reduce downtime, driving continuous improvement, and enhancing operational efficiency across our assembly and test lines.

What You Will Do

Provide prompt, hands-on technical support for diagnosing and resolving issues in production, minimizing downtime and ensuring product quality. Demonstrate ownership of assigned product lines by quickly building & maintaining a thorough understanding of the product’s functionality, end use, and relevant standard work.

Requirements

  • Ability to work hands-on, on-site with core hours from 7am – 4pm, Monday – Friday.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant hands-on engineering experience. Medical device manufacturing preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of typical quality expectations and compliance requirements.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Comfortable with computers and able to quickly learn new programs & tools as needed
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, primarily Excel and Word.
