Role OverviewUnder the general supervision of a supervisor, the Manufacturing Engineer Resource Programmer III is responsible for effective design of manufacturing resources, including computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) programs, manufacturing computer-aided design (MCAD) tools, and operational models. The role requires knowledge of shop production and processing operations, as well as work in accordance with management strategies and concepts using Bell Business Systems. The Manufacturing Engineer Resource Programmer III may train one or more employees.
What You Will Do
Interrogate, analyze, comprehend, and interpret various engineering drawings, models, bills of materials, technical specifications, quality documents, and departmental procedures to perform assigned work. Develop and maintain MCAD operational models and 2D drawings for manufacturing process planning sequences. Provide process liaison support for manufacturing operations when MCAD models with 2D drawings exist.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The successful candidate will have a working knowledge of NC programming, loft, engineering, tool design, manufacturing, and planning processes and procedures. They will be skilled in the application of GD&T/Aerospace tolerances and support producibility assessments. Strong communication skills are required to communicate and interact between internal and external customers.
Requirements
- Two years of college or three years of experience in the aircraft industry or completed related Bell apprentice program
- Demonstrated capability to perform the essential functions and responsibilities related to the application of GD&T/Aerospace tolerances
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
