Role Overview

Under the general supervision of a supervisor, the Manufacturing Engineer Resource Programmer III is responsible for effective design of manufacturing resources, including computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) programs, manufacturing computer-aided design (MCAD) tools/fixtures, loft patterns, and operational models with associated 2D drawings. The role requires knowledge of shop production and processing operations, as well as work in accordance with management strategies and concepts using Bell Business Systems. The Manufacturing Engineer Resource Programmer III may train one or more employees.

What You Will Do

Interrogate, analyze, comprehend, and interpret various engineering drawings, models, bills of materials, technical specifications, quality documents, Bell Process Framework, and departmental procedures to perform assigned work. Develops MCAD operational models and 2D drawings for manufacturing process planning sequences. Provides process liaison support for manufacturing operations when MCAD models with 2D drawings exist.

The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of NC programming, loft, engineering, tool design, manufacturing, and planning processes and procedures. They will be skilled in the concept related to the application of GD&T/Aerospace tolerances and support producibility assessments when requested.

Requirements

  • Two years college or three years of experience in the aircraft industry or completed related Bell apprentice program
  • Demonstrated capability to adequately perform the essential functions and responsibilities related to the application of GD&T/Aerospace tolerances
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
