Job Description
PHINIA is looking for a dynamic and results-driven individual to join as a Manufacturing Engineering Intern at their Aftermarket Remanufacturing Plant in Troy, MI. The intern will assist the engineering team in developing new processes and implementing innovative assembly and test equipment to meet OEM customer requirements.

Requirements

  • Provide technical support in identifying and implementing new and innovative remanufacturing methods.
  • Develop remanufacturing assembly and test equipment and processes.
  • Provides process engineering and support of existing processes.
  • Lead assigned projects to timely completion.
  • Project Manage and lead activities for new projects.
  • Ability to find new opportunities and drive projects to completion.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Mechanically or electronically inclined.
  • General understanding of Engineering Drawings and ability to interpret them (preferred).
  • Knowledge in statistics, FMEA, Control Plan APQP, PPAP, SPC, MSA, DOE and product and process capability (preferred).
  • Basic knowledge of manufacturing process (preferred).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills that are required to build relationships with team members.
  • Experience with Data Acquisition Systems and Vision systems.
  • Experience with LabVIEW, C++, or VB.
