Job Description
This position is responsible for ensuring the seamless and safe execution of maritime activities. The Marine Vessel Superintendent oversees a team engaged in vessel operations and logistics, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry standards. Responsibilities include voyage planning, load/discharge plans, stowage, and port operations, demanding a comprehensive understanding of maritime regulations, vessel operations, and safety protocols.

Requirements

  • Minimum of two (2) years' experience stowing vessels with containerized and break-bulk cargoes.
  • Minimum of two (2) years supervisory experience in a related field or equivalent combination of education and field experience.
  • Basic knowledge of utilizing two-way handheld radio.
  • Proficient in speaking, reading, and writing English at an advanced level in a business environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Assertive individual with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in an industrial environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead others and participate as a team player.
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision and display strong initiative.
  • Willingness to work multiple operations and flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Capacity to think logically, establish and follow procedures, and make sound decisions.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, extended hours, holidays, and/or weekends as needed.
