Role Overview

The Market Development Leader II partners with Independent Operators and Master Distributors to achieve maximum sales profitability and market penetration. The role involves communicating sales, service, and merchandising strategies, preparing reports, and facilitating ways to improve results. The MDL II works to reinforce relationships with retail store managers and store decision makers, and conducts store visits to maintain open and proactive business relationships.

What You Will Do

Communicate sales, service, and merchandising strategies to Independent Operators and distributors. Prepare weekly volume and inventory reports and KPI scorecards. Provide a weekly Sales/IO Work-with planner to the Sales Operations Director. Spend time on the DC loading docks with the IOs to hear their concerns.

Why It Might Be a Fit

The ideal candidate has a minimum of 5 years of experience in sales operations, preferably in snacks, grocery, or beverage industry. They should have knowledge and understanding of Independent Distribution models, including familiarity with Independent Operator/Distributor Agreements. The candidate should be able to multi-task, prioritize responsibilities, and build trust and rapport through persuasion and respect.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales operations

  • Valid driver's license
  • Possess or have the ability to obtain a DOT medical card
