Role OverviewThe Supplier Diversity Office (SDO) is seeking a Marketing & Communications Intern to support the day-to-day work of the SDO's Marketing and Communications team. The intern will work closely with the SDO's Communications Director and collaborate with staff across the agency to develop engaging, audience-focused communications.
What You Will Do
Responsibilities will include creating and scheduling social media content, designing flyers and other promotional materials in Canva, and drafting and reviewing a variety of communications, including internal messages, newsletter content, and other outreach materials.

Requirements
- Have strong writing, editing, and verbal communication skills
- Be familiar with social media platforms, particularly LinkedIn, and have an interest in creating engaging digital content
- Be organized, dependable, and motivated, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple assignments
- Be comfortable interacting professionally with colleagues, partners, and members of the public
- Have an interest in graphic design and familiarity with Canva, or a willingness to learn
- Demonstrate an interest in diversity, equity, and inclusion and in the mission of public service
- Be customer-focused and able to work collaboratively and respectfully with people from a variety of backgrounds and experiences
- Be comfortable using common workplace technology, including Microsoft Office applications
- Be curious and adaptable, with the ability and willingness to learn new technology and digital tools
- Demonstrate good judgment, initiative, and a willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities
