Job Description
Bring joy to thousands of visitors at highly regarded museums in Washington, DC as a Mascot Performer for the 2026 summer season. The role involves delivering lively, interactive, and memorable mascot performances, interacting with visitors of all ages, and maintaining a professional presence at all times.

Requirements

  • Portray an assigned mascot character in alignment with established performance and engagement standards
  • Interact with visitors of all ages using non-verbal communication—gestures, movement, and photo opportunities
  • Support public programs, special events, and high-traffic periods across multiple museum locations
  • Maintain a professional, welcoming, and inclusive presence at all times
  • Collaborate with Visitor Services staff on timing, logistics, and crowd flow
  • Navigate busy public spaces safely while in costume
  • Assist with the setup, handling, and proper storage of mascot costumes and materials
