Role OverviewThe Massage Therapy Instructor will provide active and effective learning for students in all applicable educational settings, act as a professional and academic role model, and commit to student satisfaction. This includes teaching in classrooms, labs, clinical and online settings as well as outside the classroom during campus and student activities. The instructor will maintain a classroom environment conducive to learning, provide regular and constructive feedback to students, and ensure compliance with the published attendance policy.
What You Will Do
The primary responsibilities of the Massage Therapy Instructor include instructing classes, preparing lesson plans and course material, objectively assessing students for academic performance, and maintaining a professional, enthusiastic, and positive attitude. The instructor will also ensure security of assessment tools and confidential documentation, effectively utilize and monitor the learning management systems, and provide regular and constructive feedback to students.

Requirements
- Must be licensed massage therapist in the applicable state
- Meet all requirements of the state board
- A minimum of 3 years experience as a massage therapist in the last 7 years
- Prior teaching experience preferred
- Current knowledge of specific subject being taught
- Evidence of participation in workshops, in-service training, self-study courses, on-line and credited courses, attendance at regional and national meetings, and scholarly productivity is preferred
