Role OverviewThe Master Mobile Mechanic combines advanced mechanical expertise with leadership responsibilities, ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of heavy mobile equipment. You will diagnose complex issues, perform precision repairs, and mentor mechanics while driving continuous improvement in fleet performance.
What You Will Do
Perform expert-level troubleshooting, execute major component rebuilds, and lead root-cause analysis for recurring mechanical failures. Conduct post-repair testing and calibration to ensure equipment meets manufacturer specifications.
Why It Might Be a Fit
You will be a technical lead, supervising complex rebuilds, managing yellow iron health, and providing on-the-job mentorship to the maintenance team. You must enforce MSHA and company safety protocols during all maintenance activities.
Requirements
- Vocational training or equivalent experience
- Advanced technical certifications in diesel mechanics, hydraulics, or welding preferred
- 4+ years Mobile Equipment Maintenance Experience
- CAT maintenance preferred
