Role Overview

The Masters Swim Coach will conduct quality practices that foster a positive swimming experience for participants. They will work under the supervision of the Aquatic Director and be responsible for providing instruction in stroke technique, starts, and turns. The coach will also be responsible for maintaining a safe workout environment and being aware of overexertion, hyperventilation, dehydration, breath control guidelines, muscle injury, and any other physical difficulties.

What You Will Do

The Masters Swim Coach will be responsible for providing 2-3 levels of workouts to participants, including advanced, intermediate, and novice. They will also be responsible for taking attendance at all practices, setting up and taking down equipment, and notifying the Aquatic Director when they cannot be at a scheduled class.

Why It Might Be a Fit

The ideal candidate will have previous coaching experience or prior participation in a Masters program. They will also possess current First Aid and CPR/AED certifications or be willing to obtain them within 30 days of hire. The coach will need to demonstrate a positive attitude with people of all abilities and have excellent communication skills.
