Material Handler

Requirements

• Reads work order or follows oral instructions to ascertain tubing to be moved to warehouse for storage and tubing to be moved to the cutting area.
• Loads machines with tubing to be cut.
• Removes finished goods with a lift truck, closes boxes or contains, and may wrap with shrink wrap or band with steel strapping as needed.
• Moves tubing to the warehouse or to cutting area utilizing lift truck.
• Verifies quantities on inbound shipments of tubing.
• Assists inventory control in locating tubing where tags are missing.
• Attaches inventory control tags on inbound tubing and finished goods.
• Assists in Shipping Department, as required.
• Assist in physical inventory on a quarterly basis, or as required.
• Builds boxes, prepare containers and racks for finished goods as needed for production.
• Operates industrial truck to assist loading or moving materials and products.
• Operates shrink wrap machine, electronic scale, pneumatic banding tools, and pneumatic box staplers.
• Assists in the Recut Department as required.
• Keep work area clean and organized.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
