Role OverviewThe Material Handler operates forklifts safely and efficiently, handles all freight inbound or outbound properly, and maintains warehouse area with orderly stacking and good housekeeping. They work from warehouse operations sheets using a forklift to pick customer orders and load on trailers.
What You Will Do
The Material Handler will operate reach trucks and/or Walkie Riders, load and unload RJW truck/trailers safely, and ensure all shipments are correctly staged and loaded properly. They will also maintain warehouse area with orderly stacking and good housekeeping.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The Material Handler will possess a sense of urgency, accountability, and be able to work with limited supervision. They will have good communication, clear and concise, problem resolution, and people skills. Flexibility in working overtime when needed, and supplying coverage to other shifts is also required.
Requirements
- 3-6 months of forklift driving experience in a warehouse using reach truck/stand-up forklifts and Electric Pallet Jacks
- Good stable work record
- High School Diploma or general education diploma (GED)
- Warehousing certifications a plus
