Job Description
Role Overview

Responsible for the movement of materials for the plant, in-house or at other sites, to include loading and unloading of trucks, movement of raw materials and completed shipments to and from sites, house call pick-ups, and storage of goods. Pre-sort and grade donated goods for shipping to retail stores, outlet, salvage or trash. Dispose of waste material in and around job sites.

What You Will Do

Follow verbal instructions or read work orders to determine materials and containers to be moved. Load materials into and from vehicles, install strapping, bracing or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit, assisting truck driver. Convey materials to and/or from storage or work sites to designated areas using hand truck, tow motor or pallet jack.

Requirements

  • High School education or GED is not required
  • up to three months related experience or training
  • or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Must be at least 18 years of age

  • Ability to communicate with customers in one-on-one situations
