Material Logistics Specialist

As a Material Logistics Specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining inventory within established specifications, checking items for mishandling or discrepancies, and performing various tasks related to inventory management, including issuing items, loading and unloading, and packing and unpacking. You will work in a warehouse environment, handling hazardous materials, and must be willing to work outdoors in any weather conditions. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, and the ability to read, write, and speak English fluently. You must also have 12 months of experience in a general warehouse or similar type supply function or have completed two years of college or received a certificate from an acceptable trade/technical school.

What You Will Do

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include maintaining inventory, checking items for mishandling or discrepancies, issuing items, loading and unloading, packing and unpacking, and performing various tasks related to inventory management. You will also be responsible for reporting any discrepancies to the Crew Chief or supervisor, and for completing proper paperwork to loan, borrow, or buy parts from other airlines.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently
• 12 months of experience in a general warehouse or similar type supply function
• Ability to distinguish colors
• Use simple arithmetic (Addition and subtraction of six-digit numbers)
• Knowledge of and ability to use basic computer skills
• Ability to work rotating shifts including weekends, holidays, and days off
• Ability to fulfill FAA criminal background checks to qualify for unescorted access privileges to airport security identification display areas (SIDA)
• Ability to secure appropriate airport authority and/or US Customs security badges
