Role OverviewThe Material Planning Specialist I is responsible for proactively compiling, monitoring, and managing Collaborative Planning reports to ensure adequate stocking levels and recognize shortages and deficiencies. This role requires a collaborative environment where safety is a top priority, and people are empowered to grow in their career.
What You Will Do
The main day-to-day responsibilities include receiving and reviewing requisitions, communicating and expediting urgent customer requirements, obtaining quotes from key suppliers, and analyzing data to perform root cause analysis on issues that impact inventory performance.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Accounting, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience. They should be skilled in Microsoft Applications, Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint, and have experience with SAP. Comfortable with public speaking and presenting data to large groups is also a plus.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Accounting, Engineering, or a related field
- High School Diploma/GED and four (4) years of experience in Supply Chain, Business, Accounting, Engineering, or a related field
- Skilled in Microsoft Applications, Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Experience with SAP
- Comfortable with public speaking and presenting data to large groups
