Role OverviewThe Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) Materials and Tests Division is seeking qualified candidates for a Material/Process Inspector I, II, or III position based at the Stassney Campus in Austin. This role is part of the Rigid Pavements and Concrete Materials Section, with primary responsibilities focused on supporting operations within the Concrete Lab.
What You Will Do
Perform material tests and manufacturing process inspections in laboratories, plants and/or at points of supply. Employees at this level follow standard practices that do not require frequent supervision of details.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The ideal candidate will have some skill in giving attention to detail and reviewing information to identify any errors and problems; ensuring consistency and clarity of information. They will also have proficient skill in performing calculations using algebra, trigonometry, and geometry, and using computers, applicable programs, applications, and systems.
