Role Overview

Join Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL) as an undergraduate intern in the Materials Engineering Division (MED) to engage in practical research and further your educational goals. You will provide technical and/or research support to projects in various engineering fields, working with engineers, scientists, and technical staff members.

What You Will Do

Provide technical and/or research support to projects, participate in research and/or projects, gather and analyze data, present and communicate results, attend relevant seminars, and perform other duties as assigned.

Why It Might Be a Fit

Must be a continuing college or university student in good standing, pursuing an undergraduate degree in engineering, physics, material science, or a related field. Ability to apply basic engineering or scientific principles to solve technical problems, present and communicate concepts, and work in a team environment.

Requirements

  • GPA of 3.0 or above
  • Ability to apply basic engineering or scientific principles to solve technical problems
  • Ability to present and communicate concepts and ideas
  • Effective interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a team environment
  • Experience working with personal computers and familiarity with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
