Role OverviewThe Materials Manager is responsible for the overall operation of the hospital’s purchasing and materials management functions. This position oversees purchasing, inventory management, shipping and receiving, supply distribution, requisitions, recalls, budgeting, and department personnel.
What You Will Do
Develop and manage the department’s annual budget, coordinate purchasing and ensure timely acquisition of supplies and equipment, maintain accurate inventory records and establish appropriate inventory levels, and process and monitor material requisitions and purchase orders.

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous healthcare or medical supply experience
- Knowledge of hospital, medical, operational, and clerical supplies
- Familiarity with medical terminology
- Experience with purchasing, purchase orders, requisitions, shipping, or receiving
- Proficiency with computers, including Microsoft Word and Excel
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple responsibilities, and meet deadlines
- Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions
