Role OverviewThe 32BJ Legal Services Fund provides legal advice and representation to eligible 32BJ members and their eligible dependents. The Staff Attorney will provide legal services to the members of Building Service 32BJ who are eligible under the union’s Legal Services Plan.
What You Will Do
Provide legal representation to members in Matrimonial Law, meet with clients to determine an appropriate course of action, prepare legal pleadings, and perform other duties as necessary to maintain client files and comply with office procedures.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The ideal candidate will have 1 to 3 years of experience in Matrimonial Law, be proficient in case management software, digital evidence preparation, and virtual practice tools, and have a JD and authorization to practice law in NYS.
Requirements
- JD and authorization to practice law in NYS required
- 1 to 3 years experience in Matrimonial Law
- Bilingual English/Spanish proficiency preferred, but not required
