Job Description
The McClure Woodmill Material Handler - 1st Shift position involves driving powered industrial truck equipment to push, pull, lift, stack, tier, or move products, equipment, or materials within or near plant, yard, or work site. The role requires demonstration of understanding of required paperwork, meeting production rates and standards, and performing daily inspections of material handling and associated equipment.

Requirements

  • Demonstrate understanding of all required paperwork
  • Meet or exceed established production rates and standards
  • Follow basic work instructions on a daily basis
  • Maintain production materials in work cells
  • Accurately perform inventory and labor transactions
  • Load and unload materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves
  • Convey materials from storage or work sites to designated area
  • Perform daily inspection of material handling and associated equipment
  • Correctly identify and tag both finished goods and raw components
  • Unload inbound shipments and move product to storage locations
  • Pull and prepare product for shipment
  • Move trailers to and from the shipping docks to the yard
  • Verify incoming material counts and inspects incoming components
  • Maintain a clean and organized material storage area
  • Address rework as required
  • Initiate and participate in continuous improvement
  • Train others as needed
  • Complete paperwork timely and accurately
  • Work and communicate in a professional manner with all business associates
  • Follow all safety policies and procedures
