Role Overview

The MCS Coordinator is responsible for managing patients with durable and ventricular assist devices, coordinating care across multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

What You Will Do

Coordinate preoperative evaluation and postoperative management of VAD patients, provide education and support to patients and their families, and monitor and evaluate postoperative organ function.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
  • Registered Nurse licensure under the Florida Department of Health
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • CHFN (Certified Heart Failure Nurse) or VAD-C (Ventricular Assist Device Certified)
  • Minimum three (3) years of direct nursing care of cardiovascular patients
  • Minimum one (1) year experience in cardiac care, critical care, or VAD management
