The Meat Wrapper learns to handle fresh meat and other meat products, merchandise and present fresh meat to maximize sales, and demonstrates excellent teamwork, interpersonal skills, and commitment to the team's success.

Requirements

  • Learn to package authorized beef, pork and poultry items
  • Wrap, weigh and price cuts of meat
  • Label packages according to COOL, USDA and company standards
  • Maintain proper date rotation for dated and undated products
  • Prepare and place meat cuts and products in display counter
  • Receives, inspects, and stores meat upon delivery
  • Complete cleaning and sanitation of meat cases and meat rooms
  • Protect company property, funds, and merchandise
