Role OverviewThe Meat Wrapper learns the skills of handling fresh meat and other meat products, safe, sanitary and efficient operation of the meat department, ordering and inventory, equipment operations, and merchandising according to standards set by the company.
What You Will Do
Learns to package authorized beef, pork and poultry items according to company policies and procedures, wraps, weighs and prices cuts of meat, labels packages according to COOL, USDA and company standards, and maintains proper date rotation for dated and undated products.
Why It Might Be a Fit
Must be 18 years of age, high school diploma or equivalent required, experience in grocery perishable department or meat wrapping preferred, and proficiency in basic math skills required.
