Role OverviewThis mechanic will support Gerhold Concrete plant locations across rural Nebraska, performing inspections, completing preventative maintenance, and diagnosing and repairing vehicle deficiencies on trucks, tractors, and heavy construction equipment.
What You Will Do
Troubleshoot problems, make economical and durable repairs, dismantle devices to gain access to and remove defective parts, maintain and repair heavy equipment, and perform other duties as assigned.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of experience with diesel trucks and/or various heavy equipment, be proficient in using a computer, and have knowledge of highway trucks, cement mixers, and construction equipment.
Requirements
- High School diploma or general education degree (GED) required
- 1-3 years of experience with diesel trucks and/or various heavy equipment
- Must own tools
- Must be 18 years in age or older
- Must have and maintain a current and valid driver’s license
- Must pass pre-employment physical, drug screen, and criminal background check
