Role OverviewThe Mechanic 2 is responsible for keeping all vehicles in the fleet roadworthy and ready for service when needed. Performs all preventive maintenance and repair work necessary on fleet trucks/trailers and other company equipment. Maintains clean environment.
What You Will Do
Performs preventive maintenance and repair work on fleet trucks/trailers and other company equipment. May be required to answer roadside calls for disabled vehicles. Interprets repair manuals and work orders to properly repair equipment.
Why It Might Be a Fit
Ability to service and diagnose brakes, diesel trucks, and power-train mechanics. Basic use of hand-tools required. Detail oriented; highly organized. CDL preferred, not required.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Vocational training plus one (1) year of related work experience OR three (3) years of related work experience
- Ability to service and diagnose brakes
- Ability to service and diagnose diesel trucks, (tractor/trailers) and power-train mechanics
- Basic use of hand-tools required
