Role OverviewA mechanic is responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing mechanical issues in machinery or mobile equipment. They use diagnostic tools and their own expertise to identify problems, and then perform repairs or replace parts as needed.
What You Will Do
Accurately identify problems with machinery or mobile equipment using diagnostic tools and their own knowledge of mechanical systems, perform repairs or replace parts as necessary, and perform preventive maintenance and develop PM programs to keep machinery and mobile equipment running smoothly.
Why It Might Be a Fit
Must have technical knowledge, problem-solving abilities, manual dexterity, and attention to detail, and be proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and other pertinent operating systems.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Vocational or technical training certificate or associate’s degree in related field a plus
- At least 1 year of experience in a relevant field
- Ability to communicate and interact effectively with various levels of the organization
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
