Mechanic

The Mechanic services and repairs rollers used in paper industrial machines. The mechanic is responsible for inspecting, disassembling, repair and re assemble mechanical rollers, interpreting blueprints and fabricate components and/or jigs to help in servicing those rollers.

What You Will Do

Inspect and troubleshoot paper rollers condition, measure bearing clearances and install different types of bearings, read blue prints and drawings, disassemble and assemble mechanical systems, and utilize hoist, lift trucks, hand tools and power tools.

Requirements

• Personally exhibit safety as a core value
• Minimum high school diploma or have a GED equivalent
• Machining a plus, welding and painting
• Wear required safety equipment/PPE
• Continue to develop skills to become a multi-skill mechanic (including millwright, welding, and other fields as needed)
• Utilize excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Work effectively alone or within a team
• Utilize strong organizational skills to handle multiple tasks effectively
• Analyze problems and develop solutions independently or with teams
