Role OverviewThe Mechanic role is based at the Grand Hyatt Scottsdale Resort, a luxury property in the Sonoran Desert. This position is part of the hotel's maintenance team, responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of all building systems and guest-facing areas.
What You Will Do
The Mechanic will handle shift coverage and perform troubleshooting across all maintenance areas, including guest rooms, meeting spaces, front-of-house, and back-of-house areas such as kitchen, laundry, electrical, mechanical, and HVAC systems.
Why It Might Be a Fit
This role requires strong troubleshooting skills and a working knowledge of major building systems, including life-safety systems. Candidates with at least 5 years of experience in building maintenance and the ability to read blueprints and schematics are preferred. The position offers a starting rate of $28.00 per hour and a comprehensive benefits package.
Requirements
- Must have open availability, including weekends and holidays
- Ability to walk or stand for long periods of time
- Ability to lift, push, pull and/or carry at least 50 lbs
- Strong working knowledge of all major building systems, including life-safety systems
- Good communication skills
