Role OverviewThe City of Lake Alfred is seeking a skilled Mechanic to perform diagnosis, maintenance, and repairs on a variety of vehicles and equipment.
What You Will Do
Diagnose and repair engines, brakes, electrical, hydraulic, fuel, and drive-train systems. Perform preventive maintenance using manufacturer and Fleet checklists.
Why It Might Be a Fit
Must provide own mechanic tools. Physical Requirements: Heavy lifting; frequent standing, bending, and equipment use; exposure to heat, noise, odors, and confined spaces; PPE required.
Requirements
- High school diploma/GED
- Auto/truck maintenance certification or one current ASE certification
- Three (3) years of mechanic experience
- Valid Florida Driver's License
- CDL preferred
