Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to provide advanced engineering support to the AN/SLQ‐32(V)6 program at Naval Surface Warfare Center Crane. This role is ideal for an engineer who thrives in a hands-on technical environment and is motivated by solving complex mechanical and systems-level challenges across the lifecycle of Navy Electronic Warfare (EW) systems.

What You Will Do

Analyze system deficiencies, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions. Provide technical troubleshooting for AN/SLQ‐32(V)6 systems, including remote engineering assistance to fleet units. Develop deep system-level understanding to support timely and effective resolution of fleet-reported issues.

Requirements

  • United States Citizenship
  • Active Secret Clearance (or above)
  • Master’s degree in an engineering discipline from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of 7 years of professional engineering experience
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical or electro-mechanical systems
  • Experience documenting engineering analyses, test results, and technical recommendations
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate technical data for accuracy, completeness, and compliance
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with government stakeholders, OEMs, and engineering support teams
  • Comfortable working on-site at NSWC Crane and supporting a dynamic engineering environment
