Job Description
The Mechanical Engineer I applies engineering principles to design curtainwall systems and components, develops processes, and provides building physics support. May lead and direct work of others.

Requirements

  • Develop curtainwall systems and components based on project specifications and budgets
  • Develop and refine processes for design and engineering, manufacturing, and installation departments
  • Generate project submittal drawings for review
  • Develop 3D parametric models for production information and 3D wireframe models
  • Follow and support process improvement in drafting and modeling standards
  • Review and apply project specifications to materials and designs
  • Read and interpret project Architectural and Structural drawings
  • May supervise, mentor, and train other resources
  • Provide support and coordination to operations team, factory, and field personnel
  • Use education and company provided training to further develop required skills
  • Ability to travel as required
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
